From September 8 to 11, 2026, Michaël Sicard, ERA Chair holder attended the joint annual meeting of the EARLICOST COST Action and the EARLINET network in Athens.
This landmark event gathered the European atmospheric research community to share breakthroughs in lidar remote sensing and aerosol observations.
138 participants from 26 countries have joined EARLICOST in Athens, bringing together researchers from across Europe and beyond!
It was also a great opportunity for Michaël to meet with his former colleagues and our partners in REALISTIC: Constantino Muñoz and Alejandro Rodriguez.

Beyond the technical sessions, the four-day event offered valuable opportunities to strategize on future joint field campaigns, data standardization, and training initiatives for early-career scientists.
